So this pie has a funny story. We were having a church Christmas party and I had signed up to bring a salad. I brought this Bacon & Mandarin Broccoli Salad —> super delish and one of my faves! And I also signed up to bring a pie.
I’ve been dreaming up this pie in my head. Do you ever do that? Where you create recipes in your head? Just me, ok Well, I day-dream about food and recipes and this Oreo Cream Pie was born because of that!
I thought that there is no way people want a cream pie in winter and especially for a Christmas party. People want a hearty & rich pecan pie or the traditional pumpkin pie.
Long story short, I made the pie because it was no-bake and literally takes minutes to come together, and it was gone within like 5 minutes + it was the only dessert that was gone. So, needless to say this pie is really good and a crowd pleaser.
It’s so incredibly delicious and one of those recipes I love because it’s so easy to make!
My son even asks for this as his birthday cake. It just happens to be his favorite dessert. Can’t say that I blame him because if you like Oreo cookies even a little then you will LOVE this cream pie. It’s loaded with Oreo cookies.
In the crust, in the cream pie filling, and on top too!
Tips & Tricks for making Oreo Cream Pie
- Using freshly whipped cream is the best way to make this pie. It will taste so much better. But if you need to, or are in a hurry for time, you can substitute an 8 oz size tub of Cool Whip in place of the whipping cream in the recipe.
- I am all for homemade stuff but I’ll be honest with you and say that the store-bought Oreo crust is the best way to go for this. The store bought crust is firmer so it stays together better. I have tried it with a homemade Oreo crust, and while it’s good, it was crumbly and parts of the crust were thicker than the rest, so it was just really uneven.
- This pie tastes best after it has been in the fridge for at least 6 hours. You can even make it the night before you need it. The longer it sits in the fridge, the softer the cookies inside the pie and the crust become. It’s still good but very soft. It does need fridge time after making it for the pie to come together and set.

This Oreo cream pie will be one of the easiest desserts you'll ever make. An Oreo cookie crust filled with a cream Oreo filling. Top with additional whipped cream and Oreos for the ultimate Oreo Cream Pie. Only 6 simple ingredients needed and it's no-bake!
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American
Keyword: no bake, oreo, pie
Servings: 8
Calories: 402 kcal
Ingredients
- 1 ready-to-use Oreo cookie crust
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 bar (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chopped Oreo cookies
- additional whipped cream and chopped Oreos for garnish, optional
Instructions
- In medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy {to avoid lumps make sure cream cheese is really soft or place in microwave for 20 seconds}. Add in vanilla extract and granulated sugar. Beat until combined and creamy.
- In separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
- Using a rubber spatula, add the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture and gently mix together. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies and combine.
- Dump into the pie crust and smooth the top. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving. I prefer to refrigerate overnight.
- Before serving, garnish with additional whipped cream and crushed Oreos.
Recipe Notes
I use closer to 2 cups chopped Oreos because we love them!
You want to make sure that the cream cheese is nice and soft so the sugar blends in nicely. Place the unwrapped bar onto a microwave-safe plate and microwave for about 20-30 seconds.
If you really must, you can substitute an 8 oz tub of Cool Whip for the heavy whipping cream.
To whip your own cream it does take several minutes for it to come together and form stiff peaks. Just be patient and it will work.
To make the whipped cream garnish on top easy, use a can of reddi-whip to garnish the top. Or, whip additional heavy cream with some powdered sugar (2-3 tablespoons to sweeten it) and spread it on top or pipe it on the edges.
