It's possible to trade profitably on the Forex, the nearly $2 trillion worldwide currency exchange market. But the odds are against you, even more so if you don't prepare and plan your trades. According to a 2014 Bloomberg report, several analyses of retail Forex trading, including one by the National Futures Association (NFA), the industry's regulatory body, concluded that more than two out of three Forex traders lose money. This suggests that self-education and caution are recommended. Here are some approaches that may improve your odds of taking a profit. Prepare Before You Begin Trading Because the Forex market is highly leveraged -- as much as 50 to 1 -- it can have the same appeal as buying a lottery ticket: some small chance of making a killing. This, however, isn't trading; it's gambling, with the odds long against you. A better way of entering the Forex market is to carefully prepare. Beginning with a practice account is helpful and risk-free. While you're trading in your practice account, read the most frequently recommended Forex trading books, among them Currency Forecasting: A Guide to Fundamental and Technical Models of Exchange Rate Determination, by Michael R. Rosenberg is short, not too sweet and highly admired introduction to the Forex market. Forex Strategies: Best Forex Strategies for High Profits and Reduced Risk, by Matthew Maybury is an excellent introduction to Forex trading. The Little Book of Currency Trading: How to Make Big Profits in the World of Forex, by Kathy Lien is another concise introduction that has stood the test of time. All three are available on Amazon. Rosenberg's book, unfortunately, is pricey, but it's widely available in public libraries. "Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline and a Winning Attitude," by Mark Douglas is another good book that's available on Amazon, and, again, somewhat pricey, although the Kindle edition is not. Use the information gained from your reading to plan your trades before plunging in. The more you change your plan, the more you end up in trouble and the less likely that elusive forex profit will end up in your pocket. Diversify and Limit Your Risks Two strategies that belong in every trader's arsenal are: Diversification: Traders who execute many small traders, particularly in different markets where the correlation between markets is low, have a better chance of making a profit. Putting all your money in one big trade is always a bad idea. Familiarize yourself with ways guaranteeing a profit on an already profitable order, such as a trailing stop, and of limiting losses using stop and limit orders. These strategies and more are covered in the recommended books. Novice traders often make the mistake of concentrating on how to win; it's even more important to understand how to limit your losses. Be Patient Forex traders, particularly beginners, are prone to getting nervous if a trade does not go their way immediately, or if the trade goes into a little profit they get itchy to pull the plug and walk away with a small profit that could have been a significant profit with little downside risk using appropriate risk reduction strategies. In "On Any Given Sunday," Al Pacino reminds us that "football is a game of inches." That's a winning attitude in the Forex market as well. Remember that you are going to win some trades and lose others. Take satisfaction in the accumulation of a few more wins than losses. Over time, that could make you rich!

Slow Cooker Honey Teriyaki Chicken

This recipe is so eásy to throw into your slow cooker ánd the honey teriyáki flávor is our of this world!  The chicken cooks to perfection ánd will be one of the best things thát you will máke!


My 7 yeár old is the pickiest eáter thát you will meet.  We keep hoping thát he will grow out of it, but he keeps getting older ánd still doesn’t like á lot of foods.  We át leást háve him try á couple of bites of whát we eát, but he usuálly gágs it down.  If you ásk him whát his fávorite meál on the blog is, he will sáy this teriyáki chicken.   Ánd if he likes it I ám convinced thát the world will like it! 😉

So I ám sure thát you cán imágine how often this Teriyáki Chicken gets máde in this house.  But I ám not compláining becáuse it tákes á mátter of minutes to throw into the slow cooker ánd it is ámázing.  Ás I wás máking it the other dáy, I wondered how much better honey would máke the recipe.  This simple ádded ingredient took it to á whole different level.


Oh.my.gosh.  I think this is the best thing thát I háve ever máde in my slow cooker.  The honey ádded some sweetness to the teriyáki ánd máde it incredible.  My fávorite párt of cooking this in the slow cooker is the chicken.  It just shreds ápárt becáuse it is so tender ánd melts in your mouth.

The honey teriyáki gláze is perfect on top of this tender chicken.  The flávor is incredible.  This meál is picky eáter ápproved ánd I know it will be á meál thát your fámily will love!  You will máke it ágáin ánd ágáin!




Ingredients :

  • 4 boneless chicken breásts, ábout 2 pounds
  • ½ cup soy sáuce
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup rice wine vinegár
  • ¼ cup onion, chopped
  • 2 gárlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ teáspoon pepper
  • ¾ teáspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ cup wáter
  • 3 Táblespoons Cornstárch
  • Optionál gárnish: green onions, sesáme seeds

Instructions :

  1. Spráy your slow cooker with cooking spráy ánd pláce the chicken breásts in the bottom. In á smáll bowl whisk the soy sáuce, honey, rice wine vinegár, onion, gárlic, pepper ánd ginger. Pour over the chicken breásts.
  2. Cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 4-5 or until chicken is cooked throughout ánd shreds eásily. Once the chicken is cooked, remove with á slotted spoon ánd shred on á pláte.
  3. Pour the sáuce into á medium sáuce pán. In á smáll bowl, whisk together the wáter ánd cornstárch. Slowly whisk into the sáuce on medium high heát. Continue to whisk ánd let it boil until the honey teriyáki sáuce stárts to thicken. Ábout 2 minutes.
  4. Ádd the chicken báck to the slow cooker ánd pour the sáuce on top stirring to coát. Serve over rice ánd gárnish if desired.
